About Solo Adventurer - Offline RPG
One purchase, no subscription. Offline AI-powered GM, solo text RPG adventure.
The AI tells the story. The app keeps the score.
Solo Adventurer is a solo, tabletop-style RPG that runs on your phone. You type what your character does, in your own words, and a game master writes what happens next — the room, the reaction, the consequence. No group to schedule, no rulebook to look up, no turn to wait for.
ONE PURCHASE
Buy it once. No monthly fee, no tiers, no energy meter, no credits to top up, and no cap on how much you play. Later expansions may cost extra, but nothing that works today will be taken away and sold back to you.
IT RUNS ON YOUR PHONE
The AI itself lives on your device. After a one-time download the game needs no internet at all — on a plane, underground, or with the Wi-Fi switched off, it plays the same.
• No account and no sign-in
• No ads, no tracking, no analytics
• Nothing you write leaves your phone, because there is no server for it to go to
TWO JOBS, DONE BY TWO DIFFERENT THINGS
Telling a good story and keeping track of the numbers are different skills, and here they are kept apart.
Underneath the story is a real rules engine, and it — not the AI — handles everything countable: what a hit takes off you, how much a rest gives back, what you are carrying, what a shop charges, how many spells you have left, what time of day it is, etc.
YOU NEVER SEE THE MATH
No "you take 7 damage." A bad hit reads like a bad hit. Everything is still tracked exactly, and there is a quiet marker in the margin if you want to check what happened underneath — but the page you read is prose, not a spreadsheet.
IN THE GAME
• Make a character from familiar fifth-edition-style races and classes
• Play by typing what you do, in plain language
• Fights, skill checks, saving throws and spellcasting, all properly tracked
• Inventory, weapons, armour, shields, coin, and shops
• Short and long rests, with the daily limits actually kept
• Experience and levelling, with the ability increases yours to choose
• A quest log of the goals your story opens, ticked off as you finish them
• Ask the game master a question mid-scene without breaking the story
• Illustrations and optional ambient music, or turn both off
• Light and dark themes, adjustable text size, optional read-aloud narration
• Export a session to read back later
BEFORE YOU BUY — BE READY
This game carries its own AI, and that costs you space, memory, and patience.
SPACE. Expect around 6 GB once everything is in place. Most of that is the AI model itself.
THE FIRST DOWNLOAD. The game installs small, then downloads the AI and other files on first run — about 3.5 GB. Wi-Fi is suggested. After that it never needs the internet again.
DON'T CLEAR THE APP'S STORAGE. Clearing the app's storage or data deletes the AI and your saved adventures, and the download starts over. Phone-cleaning apps sometimes target large files like this, so add this game to their ignore list if you use one.
YOUR PHONE. The AI stays loaded the whole time you play, so older and budget phones will struggle.
HOW LONG A TURN TAKES. Usually from half a minute to about two minutes for the game master to write back, depending on your phone and the scene. That is the trade for running everything on your device, not a server.
A big model in a data center will out-write this one sentence for sentence. What you get instead is a game that keeps its facts straight, costs one payment, works with the network off, and is nobody's business but your own.

What's New
Combat Fights read with more variety — slashes, thrusts and overhand blows instead of the same swing, and a caster's spells stay distinct from one another. A multi-attack hero shows each blow as it lands, rather than folding two into one. Swinging at the scenery is just part of the story, not a new encounter. Storytelling Narration is less overwrought and the game master leaves your character's private thoughts to you. Character sheet Your remaining spell uses always show, including a paladin holding a slot for a smite. Various bug fixes
